Cypress, which is cultivated throughout the Mediterranean basin, has many properties: it helps to relieve congestion in the veins, lymphatic system and prostate, and also acts as a general restorative in cases of nervous fatigue or exhaustion caused by a poor diet. It also has anti-infectious, antispasmodic and antibacterial properties.
When used in massage to treat rheumatism, cypress essential oil can be applied as cold compresses when massage is not recommended (to relieve varicose veins). Excellent for combating cellulite. Suitable for oily skin, as an aftershave toner, and as a deodorant and antiperspirant for feet and underarms. Fresh scent of turpentine, with spicy, camphor-like, lemony and woody notes.
