5-litre eco-friendly laundry detergent kit

The eco-friendly laundry detergent kit.

This kit contains everything you need to make 5 litres of eco-friendly laundry detergent for anyone keen to use cleaning products that are kind to their health – and especially for those who want to make their own cleaning products but haven’t quite plucked up the courage to give it a go yet.  This kit is the ideal solution and very easy to use; it comes with instructions.

This kit contains only natural, environmentally friendly products!

Contents of the kit:

300 g of grated soap, free from colourings, preservatives and fragrances, made by Passions d’O.

200 g of soda crystals

40 g of bicarbonate of soda

A 50 ml bottle of spirit vinegar containing chemotyped and natural essential oils of tea tree and Scots pine.

 No need for special products for shirt collars – they’ll come out spotlessly clean. If you’d like to add a scent to your laundry, you can place a handkerchief scented with an essential oil such as lavender or lemon in your tumble dryer

 Equipment required:

A large 10-litre saucepan

5 litres of water

A blender

A 5-litre bucket with a lid, if possible

A heat source.

Instructions

Put the 5 litres of water, the grated soap, the bicarbonate of soda and the soda crystals into the saucepan; heat the mixture until it comes to the boil, remove from the heat and switch off the heat source. Blend the mixture. As soon as the mixture is lukewarm, add the contents of the small bottle and mix everything together with the blender. Pour the mixture into the bucket provided and leave it until the following day, as the mixture will thicken and turn into a gel; blend the mixture again and the washing-up liquid is ready. Use a 10 cl glass per wash.

A few more tips:

To get your laundry spotlessly clean, treat any stubborn stains before putting them in the washing machine.

If you don’t have time, tie a knot in the items that need treating. White clay draws out grease stains; red fruit stains should be rubbed with milk; red wine stains require
